Valentines Day 2015

Valentines Day the kids had a great time putting together there cards and treats for all there friends at school. Dallin had extreme sports cards and Logan had monsters. They were also excited to come home and show up all the cards that they got.

I ended up having to work valentines day and so we did ours a day early. We started off making some crafts and did a love bug a butterfly and also a tissue paper heart. Then keeping with tradition we had our heart shaped pizza and ended the night with heart shaped brownies to decorate.

Valentines day I didn't want to the kids to not have anything so I made them each a little tin of treats and a toy and we also gave David a few candies and balloons. Then the boys surprised me when I got home from work I had cute pictures and also tons of chocolate dipped strawberries waiting for me :)  It was a fun holiday overall and we all had a great day.

Our 10th Anniversary

We had our 10th anniversary the 1st of Feb. This year we went to Zions National Park. It was a nice getaway. We were able to go for 4 days and the first 2 days it was cold and rainy but luckily it cleared up and we had some blue skies for the last day and a half. Here are a ton of pics from the trip.

Day one we went out and it was still so cloudy that the clouds were sitting on top of the mountain.

Upper and Lower falls this was our first hike to some waterfall overlooks.

We saw a few deer along some of our hikes.

This was a short hike that we went on to the crying rocks. They say that the water coming from these rocks are up to 4000 years old it takes that long for the water to go all the way thru the sandstone.

On our way to zions we saw a whole bunch of bald eagles that were eating on a dead deer on the side of the road.

Here is the Zions tunnel that we drove thru. The tunnel is over a mile long and has a few window overlooks as you drive thru.

We also saw a whole bunch of wild turkeys running down the road.

For our last hike we went on a 3 mile hike up a mountain and at the top of it there was cactus all over. We were able to dig one up (even tho I dont think that we were supposed to) and now we have a small cactus in our kitchen :)
