...Our night on the town...

So on Saturday we wanted to get a babysitter but its not that easy most the time so instead of sitting at home being bored we decided to just go on a date with Dallin. ( This is normally how it turns out but oh well) We decided to take trax downtown to pier 49 pizza and have dinner and then go over the the Clark planetarium and let Dallin run around for a while. We all ended up having a really fun time. And Dallin loves to ride on trax.

Yummy pizza I love pier 49. The only problem that we had is that no one lets you use there bathrooms downtown because they don't want the homeless people going in there and spending all day taking a bath in the sink I'm sure. Well this is all fine until your 4 year old needs to use the bathroom and there is not one to be found. We asked them where the closest bathroom was and she said that we would have to go over the the gallivan center. Yeah this is nowhere close to where we were. So we ran down the strip mall asking every business if Dallin could use there bathroom and after 4 no's they finally let us in so we ran downstairs of the play house that let us in and I swear the pee was starting to come out as we were ripping off his pants lol. I understand there rules and all but its just frustrating to me when no one will let you use there bathroom knowing its just a little boy that doesn't know how to hold it very long. Its a good thing we didn't have to just pee in the corner of a building but if we got turned away again we probably would of had to. But it is downtown so it wouldn't be the first time the building got peed on I'm sure.

Dallin is a total boy and loves everything to do with rockets and space and boy stuff and so he had a great time at the planetarium playing with all the space stuff. We spent a good hour and a half there and didn't have to spend a dime. That's my kind of date :) He also loves elevators and was so excited by the size of the elevator that is there. Its huge as anyone that has been there knows. He wanted to just keep riding it up and down the whole three levels that the place is ha ha.

.... Valentines Day ....

For Valentines this year we had a fun relaxing day of eating lots of food as it should be :) We made Chocolate covered strawberries and raspberries and then David thought that he would be creative and made marshmallows cookies bananas grapes and potato chips. That's right potato chips some had peanut butter on them as well mmmm.

Because Valentines was on a Sunday this year we had a whole weekend long celebration. On Friday David surprised me with a flower bouquet of cupcakes. It was really cute there were eight big fat cupcakes that were three different flavors all smashed in a flower pot to look like flowers.

Dallin thought that they were pretty cool.

And as always we followed tradition and got our heart shaped pizza from litzas pizza on Saturday night (we have been doing it every year we have been married) and then just relaxed and watched movies. For Valentines day on Sunday I made turkey dinner it felt like it was thanksgiving at our house. But for some reason we didn't take any pictures of that.. Oh well it was a pretty fancy looking turkey lol.

Baby update...

So we went to the doctors yesterday for my 25 week checkup and it was the same old drill pee in the cup get weighted get blood drawn blah blah. All came back good and normal :) I had to take my diabetes test yesterday and so I told Dallin that he would have to hold my hand when I got my blood drawn so that I would not be scared. He said that he would and so he came over to me and when the nurse poked me with the needle and Dallin saw the blood coming out he turned white as a ghost. Well for those of you that know Dallin he is already as white as they come without being an albino lol. But it was pretty funny and im glad to say that we all left without anyone passing out.

Dallin also thought that it was cool that the doctor let him hold the doppler up to my belly to hear the babys heartbeat. It makes him feel very grownup when he is able to do those type of things. So we listened to the heartbeat for a little bit and then the baby moved and Dallin just didnt understand why the baby would keep moving away from him. I told him that he was just playin tricks on him cuz thats what little brothers do. He thought that was a good enough reason and now just says that baby sure is a funny one ha ha.

I cant believe that I am already going into my third trimester. Its going by so fast its kinda scary. Some days I think im glad that its going by so quick because its so not the funnest thing to do but then other days or I should say most days I think am I really ready to have another baby already? I know thats what we all think before we have a baby or another baby im sure but it makes you wonder....... I already start going to the doctor every two weeks you know that you are getting close at that point.. I have to go in and get my rogam shot ( because I have negative blood and David has positive blood) in a few weeks I wonder how Dallin in going to take watchin me get a big fat shot right in the butt ha ha... I will keep you posted :)

....My Favorite time of day....

There is nothing that I like better then when I can force Dallin to take a nap.. It doesn't happen very often because he insists that he is to old to be taking naps. Well for my sanity I am very happy when he finally does. Oh and he looks so sweet and innocent when he is fast fast asleep lol.

Now that we have the potty training down we are working again on Dallin sleeping in his own room in his own bed. Oh man I don't know what is worse. He has been doing ok he has slept now in his room all night 5 times this month. I know it doesn't sound like alot but for him it is. I got him a Cars calender that we hung up in his room and every time he sleeps in his bed all night he gets a sticker to put on that day. And I told him when he fills up the calender month (or at least most of it) then we can go to Jumpin Jacks. So he thinks that's pretty cool and so far its kinda working. I end up having to go in about 10 times a night to check on him or to lay on his floor for an hour before he finally gives in and just falls asleep. He is again afraid of the monsters. The other night I heard him cry himself to sleep it was so sad but I had to be strong and not let him come in the room.
Here are a few pics from a few nights ago I thought were funny. My mom got him this huge caterpillar that he names Percy and he carries it around all the time like he is Percy's dad. (really sweet) and so he sleeps with his and also has buzz lightyear at the top of the bed looking out for the monsters that come in at night. He of course shoots them with his lasers. He also has his flashlight just in case and at the end of the bed he has his toy Chihuahua he named peaches and also a teddy bear he named too salty. Some days its hard to remember not only what his toys names are but who is who ha ha.

Where does he come up with this stuff?

So Dallin decided that he wanted to write David a letter the other day when we were down working in the office.... Here is the letter...

Dear Dad,

I'm sorry it has to be this way but you have to go back to your forest. Its going to be a really hard day. This is gonna be a waste of your life so I'm going to hug and kiss you. I'm going to send you a message tomorrow when its morning. Now I'm going to do laundry and play San Diego zoo to unlock all the levels. And write letters to apartment number 82.

I'm sorry again but I really love you k bye.

Love Dallin

All I do is write down what he says ha ha oh man he is funny and most the time I really have no clue what he is talking about. I guess that's the good thing about kids imaginations...

Our 5th Anniversary..

Me and David celebrated our 5th anniversary over the weekend. We went up to the Logan Anniversary inn. We had a really good time relaxing and getting away from everyday life. The first night we stayed in the Artic Journey room and took stuff up to make cheese fondue for dinner it was a really fun and much needed trip for the both of us and David got to feel the baby kick for the first time it was so exciting and a great memory for our anniversary.

Its crazy how when you are gone if feels like forever because you are away from your kids but then you have to come home and it feels like you never left... Oh well it was great while it lasted now im back to being mommy.

The tub by far my favorite part in all the rooms. Its not easy to find a tub that is long enough for anyone that is over five feet tall ha ha I would have spent the entire night in the tub if I could have.

On day two we woke up and went to see what there was to do in Logan. We found a place called the Willard Park Zoo. It was more of an aviary but hey it was free and we were the only ones that were there so that made it kinda fun and we got to see lots of different animals.

This duck was funny it kept shaking in the water like it was taking a bath but then it did it to many times so we started to wonder if there was something wrong with it. Either that or he just really wanted to be clean.

On our second night we got to take a tour of all the rooms and see what one we wanted to stay in. Well David got to pick this one and so you know that it was going to be a man's room lol. Be stayed in the Biker's Roadhouse room. There was a pool table a pinball machine and even a full size Harley in the room. There was even a hot dog toaster so when you stay in that room the Anniversary inn gives you six bottles of soda and two hot dogs. Yes I did have hot dogs for dinner on the night on my anniversary it was so romantic ha ha. That day we went to a really yummy Mexican place for lunch and so neither of us were hungry and I again just wanted to stay in the tub all night watching sappy girl shows on TLC like a baby story lol. So David played pool and I relaxed in the tub it was a great night. Oh how I wish I had one of those tubs at home.....By the way we went to Ruby Tuesdays on our way home the next day for our real anniversary dinner no worries lol.

Our yummy breakfest that they bring you in the morning.

David playing the games one last time before we had to go.

Dallins Potty Party..

So considering it will be one month on Monday that I haven't changed a diaper YEAH!!!!! We told Dallin that we would take him to Jungle Jims Playland. He wanted his cousins Samantha and Niko to come along and so we called up Heidy and made a date to go to Jungle Jims. The kids had a great time going on all the rides. They loved the roller coaster and the bumper cars the best. But all the rides were fun and we all had a great day hanging out watching the kids have fun.

The kids loved the roller coaster. Its alot like the music express at lagoon it goes forward for a while and then it goes backwards just as long. I think they went on it at least a dozen times.

Dallin did a great job driving the bumper cars. He has grown so much from the last time that we took him to jungle jims. Before his face was even with the steering wheel and he kept smacking his face on it lol. Well this time he had no problems controlling the cars.

Mr monkey man.
Sam and Dallin ready for take off.

It made me sick watching the kids go on all the spinning rides over and over. But I am happy to say that none of the kids lost there lunch ha ha.
