It's Finally Happening !!!!

I am so happy to say that Dallin is finally starting to get this potty training thing down. He is doing such a good job at it. Here are a few pics of the process. First the climb up to the toilet seat is scary enough in itself. But then comes the making sure the "pee guard" didn't pop off into the toilet like it likes to do at times. Then after he pees he gets to pick a sticker for his potty chart and then picks out a pair of his new big boy underwear that he is so proud of.
We told him that when he filled up his potty chart that we would bring him to chucky cheese. Well I don't know why we didn't think of this a year ago because it worked wonders and now we will be going to chucky cheese for our potty party.
He is still trying to get the poo in the potty process but he did the the other day and he got off the potty and got all sensitive and said " Oh mom I'm so proud of myself " oh man its moments like that when you think I love to be a stay at home mom.

... State Fair 2009 ...

This year we went to the fair with Ryan Amanda and the boys. We all had a really fun time watching all the shows and seeing all the things that there is to see at the fair. The weather on the other hand was not the best it was pretty windy and rained off ond on the whole time but it kept it cooled off. Here are a few of my favorite pics from this years fair.

...Millcreek Canyon Get together...

Last Saturday we went up to Millcreek Canyon to do a bbq with Davids side of the family. We all had a really fun time and Davids grandparents were even able to make it as well. Dallin has a great time hanging out with his cousins.

..Movie Night..

So we have a movie night about once a week and this week we watched the Disney movie Earth that just came out. Dallin loved it and for all that have seen it we had to watch the part when the ducks are learning to fly and fall out of the tree about 4 times. He thought that it was the funniest thing he ever seen. But anyways we were all ready to go with popcorn and the biggest Popsicle that he could find at the store or course. But we only made it thru about half the movie before we all fell asleep. But we finished it the next day :)

Where are you ??

So the other day I was cleaning the house and noticed that it had been awhile since I had seen or heard anything from Dallin. Well in most cases this means that he is doing something that he is not supposed to be doing or frantically cleaning up something that he spilled that he knows he shouldn't have been in. So I went looking in all the rooms calling his name and didn't see him or get a reply. Well I knew he had to be in the house somewhere so I just kept looking. This is when I heard "I'm in here" well this could be alot of places so I asked him where and that's when I heard a noise in his room. I went in there and opened up his bookcase and this is what I found. He had cleaned out all his toys and climbed up onto the second shelf and closed the doors. I never found out what he did wrong to make him hide in the closet but I'm sure there was something I will come across one of these days.

..Labor day hiking..

On monday morning we got up and went hiking up Big Cottonwood Canyon with Heidy Craig and the kids. David remembered a trail that he went on about 10 years ago and said that it wasn't to bad. Well the hike was only about a mile long each way but it was really steep for the first half mile. We were sliding everywhere and I think that the path was only about a foot wide. So moral of this story don't listen to your husband that is going by memory of something that he did 10 years ago. ha ha . It all turned out ok only a few slips on the mountain coming down and a couple scrapes but all was good and we had a fun time on our hike.

Heidy gave Dallin a piggy back ride down part of the hike. We found out later that he has getting a blister on his foot and that's why he didn't want to walk anymore.

After our hike we drove down the canyon to see if we could find somewhere to have a picnic. Well as we were driving we were stopped by a long line of cars and we saw that life flight was in the middle of the road. We figured we would be there a while and so we just pulled over to the side of the rode and had a picnic in Heidys car. When we were getting ready to leave we heard a life flight coming back to the same spot. So we jumped in our cars trying to beat them before they landed so we could get out of the canyon. Well sadly we were not fast enough and we ended up stuck back in traffic for about a half hour until life flight took off again.
