Solider Hollow Sledding

Every year for Christmas David gets the family passes to go up sledding at Solider Hollow. The kids have been so excited to go and were counting down the days on there calendar. So we finally made it up there on Monday and had a great time. It was so nice and sunny with blue skies. Perfect day to go sledding. Even tho the kids were tired and cold at the end they were so sad when our time was up and we had to leave.

Logan was going up the hill on one of the runs and got stuck in the middle of his tube lol 

 The kids loved to do a race down the hills next to each other.

Here is a short movie of one of our runs. Some of the hills were so steep that your stomach dropped every time. There were many times that I came completely off of my tube. 

Trip to the zoo

A few weeks ago we were sitting around and realized that we had not gone to the zoo in a while so we packed up the kids and went up there. I love going in the winter because there is never anyone there and usually the animals are more active. But we got there a little late so the animals were starting to go to bed and most of them were sleeping lol anyways here are some pics.

Big Bear

Last week I surprised Logan with a giant bear so when he got home from school I had him sitting up in our chair. Logan freaked out and totally loves him big bear that he has now named chocolate milk.

 He also watches movies with chocolate milk.

Dallin Gets Glasses

Over the past few months Dallin has been complaining about getting headaches really easy and I have noticed that he has slowly moved up closer and closer to the tv lol so over his winter break from school we took him in to get a eye exam and sure enough he ended up getting glasses. He is just over the line of needing glasses and so its a pretty light prescription. Also he had the problem where he is to big for the kids selection of glasses but his head is still to small for the mens glasses. So we did our best trying to find smaller mens glasses that he liked. Anyways because we went at the end of the year and over winter break they were super busy and so it took a while to get his glasses back. But on Tuesday they finally came in and he was excited to go pick them up. He has two different pairs. Here are a few quick pics of Dallin and his new glasses. They are a little big but for the most part they do the job and he is excited to be able to see the smart board at school.

New Years Eve

New Years Eve. This year it was just us hanging out and I had no plans to actually stay up until midnight but somehow we still ended up staying up. Keeping with tradition we had our Korean new years dinner. This year we had a few new things. We made lettuce wraps,beef potstickers and soft tofu soup with cucumber kimchi. And then we had a whole bunch of snacks thru the night.

 We are dinner pretty late and when we were done we realized that we still had like three hours until the ball was going to drop and we got pretty board lol. So we took a ton of self portraits 

Finally it was time for the ball to drop. We threw around confetti and streamers and did poppers and the kids blew there horns for a long time lol
