Mothers Day 2013

I had a great mothers day this year. David got up early before church and made me breakfast and then gave me a flower to wear to church. When we got home we went and visited a bunch of family and just had a nice night. Dallin made me a coupon book at school that he was excited to give me and also made me a card and got me a pink rose from church. Logan was excited to show me the caramel apple and cookie bouquet that we also got. I hope that all the ladies in my life also had an amazing mothers day and were able to relax a little.

For the ladies in the ward this year we made them chocolate covered strawberries so most the day on Saturday thats what we were doing. Dipping and dipping lol we ended up making close to 450 berries.

Mothers Day Project

This year for mothers day my mom asked for a tomato and a pepper plant to put on her deck. So we thought that it would be fun for the kids to decorate some buckets to plant them in. They both did a good job and had fun painting.

Canyon Time

Over the weekend we went up the canyon for a hot dog roast and to hike around. It was so nice and the perfect time to go up the canyon before it gets to hot. The kids had lots of fun running around and getting dirty. And Logan loved the fire he was so excited when it got bigger and bigger.

 For some reason they had lots of potato bugs all over the trail. So the kids had fun collecting them.

Zoo Day

We went to the zoo a few days ago and its the first time that we have been in a few years so we were all excited to go and to see the new Rocky Shores exhibit that opened last year. It was the perfect day. There was a light breeze and it was overcast so the weather could not have been more perfect. We stayed at the zoo all day lol We got there a little after it opened and we didn't leave until they closed. It was so much fun and the kids had a great time running around. Here is a ton of pics. It was hard to choose I had to many good ones. There is also a bunch that wouldn't flip. Blogger drives me crazy :) Anyways here it is..

 The baby elephant was being so cute. She kept sucking up water in her trunk and shooting it all over.

 Also this season its lego days at the zoo and there are lego animals all over. Of course Dallin thought that this was awesome.

 On to Rocky Shores. This is by far my favorite exhibit at the zoo so far. I am a huge fan of sea world and it totally has that feel. In a much smaller space lol It was so much fun and we stayed there watching all the sea animals for hours and ate our lunch as we watched the bears. We waited and waited and the polar bear never got in the water so I hope next time we will be able to see that :)

 There was also a show that we watched and the kids were able to pet a ferret and also a bearded dragon.
